  • Machinability : BeCu C17300 has a machinability rate of about 50 and therefore it can find application in high volume machining.
  • Welding : C17300 bryllium copper can be welded through soldering, brazing, gas-shielded arc welding, coated metal arc welding, spot welding, seam welding, and butt welding. Welding (Oxy-acetylene) cannot be recommended.
  • Forging : Forging of UNS C17300 is carried out at temperatures between 649 and 816°C (1200 to 1500°F).
  • Hot Working : UNS C17300 is fused between 649 and 816degC (1200 to 1500degF).
  • Cold Working : UNS C17300 beryllium copper is characterized as having good cold working properties and is therefore suitable in high precision parts.
  • Annealing : C17300 beryllium copper is annealed under temperatures of between 774 and 802degC (1425 and 1475degF).
