Aashish Metals manufactures and supplies Inconel Bars, Rods and Wires in high-performance nickel alloy grades including Inconel 600, Inconel 625 and Inconel 718, along with Incoloy 800 and Incoloy 825. These nickel-based alloys are selected for applications requiring high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance and reliable performance in corrosive environments.
Inconel materials maintain their mechanical properties across elevated temperatures and develop a protective oxide layer that helps reduce surface degradation in demanding service conditions. Our Inconel and Incoloy Round Bars, Rods and Wires are available in different diameters, lengths, finishes and specifications to meet industrial and project requirements.
We supply these products according to applicable ASTM, ASME, DIN, EN and other international standards, depending on the grade and product form. Custom sizes and cut lengths can also be provided based on customer drawings or specifications. Inconel bars, rods and wires are widely used in chemical processing, petrochemical, power generation, aerospace, marine, heat-treatment and high-temperature industrial applications.

Inconel 625 round bar (UNS N06625)
Alloy 625 gets its strength from molybdenum and niobium in solid solution, not from ageing, so it stays tough and weldable. It resists pitting, crevice attack and chloride cracking, which is why alloy 625 round bar is the usual pick for seawater, offshore, flue-gas and chemical service. It is the most searched grade in our list, and for good reason: it balances strength, corrosion resistance and fabrication better than any other grade in the family.
Inconel 718 round bar (UNS N07718)
When strength is the priority, alloy 718 bar is the answer. It is precipitation-hardened, so after solution treatment and double ageing an inconel 718 rod reaches about 1,240 MPa tensile, far above 625. It performs well to about 650–700 °C and is used for turbine parts, oil-field tools, aerospace fasteners and sour-service hardware. It can be supplied solution-treated (softer, easier to machine) or aged, and the condition should always be stated on the order.
Inconel 600 round bar (UNS N06600)
Alloy 600 resists oxidation to very high temperatures, is immune to chloride stress-corrosion cracking and copes with caustic and many reducing media. It is a solid-solution alloy with moderate strength, and cannot be hardened by heat treatment. Typical uses include furnace parts, heat-treatment fixtures, nuclear and chemical equipment.
Inconel 601 round bar (UNS N06601)
The added aluminium in alloy 601 gives outstanding scaling resistance to about 1,150 °C. Choose it for burners, radiant tubes, muffles and furnace hardware.
Inconel X750 round bar (UNS N07750)
X750 is a precipitation-hardened alloy prized for high strength combined with good relaxation resistance, so it is often used for springs, bolts, turbine blades and gas-turbine hardware. If your enquiry is for Inconel X750 bar stock or an x750 bar, tell us the specification and heat-treatment condition. Availability depends on stock [confirm].
Inconel 825 round bar
Many buyers type “inconel 825 round bar”, but 825 is an Incoloy alloy. It is excellent in sulphuric and phosphoric acid service. If that is what you need, see our Incoloy 825 round bars and Incoloy 800/800H/800HT round bars.

Values are typical minimums for annealed bar (600, 601, 625) and aged bar to ASTM B637 (718). 625 shows a range because ASTM B446 has an annealed grade and a solution-annealed grade. X750 figures depend heavily on heat treatment, so the values are indicative only. Your MTC gives the real figures, and design should use those.

Quick Formulas for Other Shapes
- Hex bar: kg/m = 0.866 × AF² × density ÷ 1000 (AF in mm, density in g/cm³)
- Square bar: kg/m = side² × density ÷ 1000
- Flat bar: kg/m = width × thickness × density ÷ 1000
Example, 625 flat bar 50 × 10 mm: 50 × 10 × 8.44 ÷ 1000 = 4.22 kg/m.

Supply States
- Annealed (ANN): standard for 600, 601 and 625. Soft and ductile.
- Solution-treated: best for machining 718 or X750 before ageing.
- Precipitation-hardened / aged (PH): 718 and X750 in final strength condition.
- Hardened and tempered (H&T): used loosely by some sellers; always confirm exactly which condition you want, including hardness range.
Typical hardness: annealed 600, 601 and 625 bar usually sits in the mid-80s to mid-90s HRB. Aged 718 is typically in the range of about 36–44 HRC. These are indicators only, and acceptance is by the standard and your MTC. For sour service, hardness for 718 is limited under NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156, so state that requirement up front.
Heat Treatment, Machining and Welding Guidance
| Grade | Typical treatment |
|---|---|
| 600, 601, 625 | Annealed by the mill. Cannot be hardened by heat treatment; hardening comes only from cold work. |
| 718 | Solution treat at about 950–980 °C, then age: 720 °C for 8 hours, furnace cool to 620 °C, hold to a total of 18 hours, air cool. Follow the specification you are ordering to. |
| X750 | Solution treated, then aged per ASTM B637 or AMS 5667 to the required condition. |
Machining
- Nickel alloys work-harden fast. Keep the tool cutting, use sharp carbide tools, positive rake and a rigid setup.
- Use heavy feeds and steady depth of cut instead of light passes that rub.
- Use plenty of flood coolant, free of sulphur and chlorine.
- Rough-machine 718 and X750 in solution-treated condition, then age, then finish-machine, so distortion is controlled.
Welding
- 600, 601 and 625 weld well by GTAW, GMAW and SMAW, with matching filler such as ERNiCr-3 or ERNiCrMo-3 (625).
- 718 can be welded in solution-treated condition and then aged, but strain-age cracking is a risk. Aged 718 should not be welded without a procedure.
- Clean thoroughly. Sulphur, lead and low-melting contaminants cause cracking.
- Qualify procedures to ASME Section IX.

Inconel Round Bar Price and Bar Stock: What Drives It
If you searched for inconel 718 round bar price or inconel bar stock price, you probably want a figure. We do not publish one because nickel, chromium, molybdenum and niobium move often, and a price without grade, condition, diameter and length is meaningless. (Some sites publish a stock-price list with no units or grades, which we think is worse than none.) Here is what shapes your quote:
| Price factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Grade | 718, X750 and 625 cost more than 600 or 601 because of niobium, titanium and molybdenum |
| Diameter and length | Larger diameters and full lengths use more nickel and are priced per kg |
| Condition | Aged, cold-drawn, peeled, ground or polished bar costs more than hot-finished |
| Standard | AMS aerospace specs and extra tests add cost |
| Quantity | Full bars and larger lots cost less per kg than cut pieces |
| Cutting | Sawing and small pieces increase the cost per kg |
| Certification | 3.2 and additional tests such as UT or stress-rupture add cost |
| Nickel and alloy metals market | Base prices move with LME nickel and alloying elements |
| Destination | Freight, export packing and Incoterms |

FAQs about Inconel Round Bar
It is machined into shafts, studs, bolts, valve stems, flange blanks, springs and furnace parts wherever stainless steel would lose strength or corrode. Power, aerospace, oil and gas, chemical, marine and heat-treatment plants are the main users.
625 is solid-solution strengthened, so it is tough, weldable and highly corrosion resistant. 718 is precipitation-hardened and much stronger (about 1,240 MPa tensile when aged), but best up to about 650–700 °C and harder to weld and machine once aged. Choose 625 for corrosion, 718 for strength.
For oxidation and scaling, 601 leads (about 1,150 °C), followed by 600 (about 1,090 °C). 600 is preferred where caustic or chloride cracking resistance is needed. Neither is a high-strength bar. For strength at temperature, look at 718 or X750.
ASME SB 166 is the specification for nickel-chromium-iron alloy rod, bar and wire (including UNS N06600 and N06601). ASME SB 446 covers alloy 625 (UNS N06625) rod and bar. They are the ASME versions of ASTM B166 and B446. 718 and X750 bar are supplied to ASTM B637 / ASME SB 637.
Order solution-treated if you will machine before ageing, or aged if you need final strength now. Always state the condition, hardness range and any NACE MR0175 requirement. When in doubt, ask us before ordering.
825 is technically Incoloy 825 (UNS N08825), not Inconel, and it is supplied to ASTM B425. It is a strong choice for sulphuric and phosphoric acid service, and we supply it alongside Inconel bars.
Use kg per metre = d² × 0.006629 for 625, × 0.006652 for 600, × 0.006370 for 601, × 0.006433 for 718 and × 0.006503 for X750, with d in millimetres. Steel formulas underestimate weight because nickel alloys are denser.
