What Are Monel Tube Fittings?

Monel 400 Tube Fittings
Monel 400 (UNS N04400 / Werkstoff Nr. 2.4360) is the standard grade — a nickel-copper alloy with approximately 65% Ni and 32% Cu — offering outstanding resistance to seawater corrosion, hydrofluoric acid, sulphuric acid (at moderate concentrations), and alkaline solutions. Monel K500 Tube Fittings
Monel K500 (UNS N05500 / Werkstoff Nr. 2.4375) is a precipitation-hardenable version of Monel 400, adding aluminium and titanium to achieve approximately three times the yield strength of the annealed alloy while retaining the same corrosion resistance. It is specified where higher strength is needed — subsea valve stems, pump shafts, and instrumentation connections in high-pressure sour gas service.
