What Are Inconel Tube Fittings?

Inconel tube fittings are precision-machined nickel-alloy connection components for small-bore tubing systems — the instrumentation-grade counterpart to large-bore Inconel pipe fittings. They provide leak-tight, gas-tight seals in easy-to-assemble, disassemble, and reassemble form using two-ferrule compression technology. They resist vibration fatigue, high pressures, and extreme temperatures while maintaining robust tube grip through patented double-ferrule sealing action.

Inconel Tube Fittings Grades

Inconel 625 (UNS N06625 / Werkstoff Nr. 2.4856) is the most widely specified grade for instrumentation tube fittings in corrosive service. Its nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium composition delivers exceptional resistance to oxidising and reducing media, seawater pitting, chloride stress-corrosion cracking, and caustic attack. Our Inconel 625 tube fittings are used extensively in offshore oil & gas, marine, and chemical processing instrument loops. They are also used in submarine auxiliary systems and quick-disconnect fittings.

Inconel 601 Tube Fittings

Inconel 601 (UNS N06601 / Werkstoff Nr. 2.4851) has superior high-temperature oxidation resistance up to 1,250 °C due to its aluminium addition. Our Inconel 601 tube fittings are specified for radiant tube connections, high-temperature furnace instrument loops, and petrochemical process lines operating above normal nickel alloy limits.

Inconel 600 Tube Fittings

Inconel 600 (UNS N06600 / Werkstoff Nr. 2.4816) offers good resistance to oxidation, carburisation, and chloride cracking across a wide temperature range. Our Inconel 600 tube fittings are widely used in nuclear reactor instrumentation, heat treatment equipment connections, and chemical industry sample lines.

Incoloy 800 & 825 Tube Fittings

We also supply Incoloy 800 tube fittings (UNS N08800) and Incoloy 825 tube fittings (UNS N08825) for applications requiring iron-nickel-chromium alloy performance in ethylene cracking, acid pickling, and sour gas service environments.

Where Inconel Tube Fittings Are Specified

Nuclear Reactors Inconel 600 and 625 tube fittings are standard in nuclear reactor cooling water instrument loops, primary circuit sample connections, and fuel element assembly tooling. Their excellent resistance to high-purity water corrosion and radiation-assisted SCC makes them the material of choice where stainless steel fails.

Offshore Oil & Gas / Marine Inconel 625 compression fittings are used throughout subsea and topside instrument manifolds in oil platforms, FPSO vessels, and subsea control modules — wherever H₂S (sour gas), CO₂, seawater, and chloride-rich process streams make stainless steel an inadequate choice. UNS N06625 tube fittings are standard in submarine quick-disconnect fittings and auxiliary propulsion motor instrumentation. Complement with our Inconel 625 needle valves and Inconel 625 manifold valves.

Chemical & Petrochemical Processing Inconel 625 tube fittings connect instrument sample lines, process analysers, pressure transmitters, and flow meters in plants handling strong mineral acids, halide-bearing media, and high-temperature corrosive streams — applications where 316L stainless fittings would fail within weeks.

Aerospace Inconel 625 and 600 tube fittings are used in aircraft fuel, hydraulic, and oxygen system instrument connections, and in jet engine test stand instrumentation — applications requiring zero-leak integrity at pressure extremes and wide temperature ranges.

Gas Processing & LNG Inconel fittings are specified for cryogenic instrument lines in LNG liquefaction plants, where low-temperature toughness combined with seawater or saline atmosphere corrosion resistance is critical.

Power Generation Superheater instrument connections, gas turbine inlet temperature sensing, and heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) pressure tapping connections.

Food Processing, Sugar & Fertilizer Plants KK Industries and other suppliers confirm Inconel tube fittings use in these industries — where process media include caustic solutions, phosphoric acid, and high-temperature steam — with Incoloy 825 an alternative for sulphuric acid service.

FAQs

Inconel tube fittings are used for small-bore instrumentation and process tubing connections in corrosive, high-temperature, and high-pressure environments — including offshore oil & gas instrumentation loops, nuclear reactor cooling water sample lines, chemical plant process analysers, aerospace fuel and hydraulic systems, and marine submarine auxiliary piping.

Inconel 625 tube fittings conform to ASTM B564 / ASME SB564 for the forgings, and ASTM B366 / ASME SB366 for fittings. Thread standards follow ASTM B16 and B453. Dimensionally, they comply with Parker, Swagelok, Hoke, and DK-Lok tube fitting designs.

Aashish Metals stocks Inconel tube fittings from 3 mm to 50 mm OD (metric) and 1/8″ to 2″ OD (inch). Instrumentation sizes range from 1/4″ to 1-1/2″ (6 mm to 38 mm) for tube-to-female, tube-to-male, and tube-to-union connections.

Yes. Our Inconel 625 tube fittings are dimensionally interchangeable with Parker, Swagelok, Hoke, and DK-Lok designed fittings in the same tube size. They can be mixed freely within an instrument loop without adapters or converters.

Pressure ratings vary by size and connection type. Male connectors achieve up to 15,000 Psi (1,033 bar) in smaller sizes (1/8″ to 3/8″). Female connectors range from 8,500 Psi (585 bar) for 1″ down to 12,900 Psi (888 bar) for 1/16″ size.

Inconel 625 is the corrosion-resistant workhorse — used for seawater, chloride, acid, and sour gas service where pitting and SCC are the key failure modes. Inconel 601 adds aluminium for outstanding high-temperature oxidation resistance up to 1,250 °C — used in furnace instrumentation and high-temperature gas stream connections where 625’s corrosion resistance is not the primary requirement.

Yes. Every Inconel tube fitting from Aashish Metals is supplied with an EN 10204 Type 3.1 Mill Test Certificate. Type 3.2 third-party witnessed certificates, PMI reports, and third-party inspection by Bureau Veritas or SGS are available on request.
